PPResult to show all policy options together with 'winning policy'

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

I would like the ability to see all similar policy options grouped together across policies with a ‘winning policy’ column similar to GPResult.

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Currently, PP Result shows a list of all policies applied to the device, and you can expand each policy to see the policy options within that policy specifically. This is useful if you’re not sure if a policy is applying to a device, but it largely just mirrors what is available on the cloud portal already.

I would really like PP Result to function more like GP Result, where you can see all policy options applied to a computer across all policies together in one location. This would include:

  1. All registry keys across all policies visible together
  2. All remote delivery files visible together

You shouldn’t have to already know which policy a registry key lives in to be able to find it. This would also allow displaying the “winning” policy if you happen to have policies that are clashing. This is often the case when I’m investigating individual policy options on a computer and want to find out which policy is applying a specific setting; you inherently don’t know the policy name yet to be able to expand it as PP Result currently requires.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

I either check through multiple policies manually or sometimes have to export all policies from the cloud portal as a zip file and then rely on Windows File Explorer to perform searches within the XML files to locate multiple instances of registry keys, for example.

Upload any supporting images that you think should be considered in this idea.

Sorry for the delay on this.

We get it.

Best approach is for us to make something like PPRESULT /GROUP report which re-orients the results in the grouping you want.

Let me see if I get the idea.

PPCLOUD /status for instance already shows: For each CSE category, WHAT policies you get. Like this:

What I think you want is an HTML report of each CATEGORY then POLICY within it and then showing winning policy if there’s a collision. (Which might not be possible for every category… )

If I got the idea let me know. Thanks.
