CSP Management - Policy Delivery

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Allow PolicyPak to Deliver CSP Policies ‘natively’

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Currently, there are a number of ‘policies’ that cannot be done ‘natively’ in GPO/registry; CSP policies. For example, BlueTooth:

In going “full PolicyPak”, we would like to be able to control these.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

We have to continue to use Intune, which is not our goal. Mixing policies without ILT adds complexity.

Here’s the crazy thing: We had this in PolicyPak and removed it, because it was “a solution looking for a problem.”

We built this in the timeframe where Microsoft said “We’re ONLY going to put switches in CSPs and not in ADMX.”

By the time we had this implemented, 99.9% of CSPs were already re-constituted as ADMX settings.

I would be surprised if there (a) Isnt the ADMX equivilent of this already or (b) It might be on the roadmap if it’s a NEW CSP setting or (c) There’s some other way to mange this.

The Net:Net of this is, if we brought back “PP CSP Manager” we would only do it if there was a REALLY LARGE swath of CSPs that honestly had no way to be managed any other way.

I dont know a quick way to do a 1:1 compare; but even if you’ve found ONE setting, it would have to be a LOT more for us to bring it back.

LMK if this makes sense…

Interesting that you HAD it, then removed it….

So Bluetooth was the biggest one. That might be an outlier, admittedly; it’s easy to find a list of things they DID map, but…. DIDN’T map. I can poke around with CoPilot/LLM and see if I can get an ENTIRE list. But yes, to your point, it’s probably not a ‘huge’ list.
