We would like to announce an important security update from Salesforce that affects how connected apps like Netwrix Platform Governance (Strongpoint) are authorized.
Starting August 28, 2025, Salesforce will require administrator approval for any connected app that was not installed by an admin.
What this means for you
Our connected app is designed to be installed and authorized by System Administrators only (not end users), so there should be no impact on the usage of our tool.
However, we recommend that you double check that the Strongpoint connected app is properly installed in your Salesforce organization.
To do so, please have a System Administrator complete the quick check below.
Quick check: Verify that the connected app is installed
-
In Salesforce, click the gear icon → Setup.
-
In Quick Find, type App Manager and select it.
-
In the App Manager list, look for entries with Type = Connected.
-
Locate “Strongpoint” or “Netwrix” in the list of connected apps.
- If you see either one listed, the connected app is installed in your org.
- If you do not see it, don’t hesitate to contact our support team for assistance.
Timeline
-
August 28, 2025 → Change applies to all new Salesforce organizations.
-
Early September 2025 → Change begins rolling out to all existing Salesforce organizations.
