We’re excited to announce an upcoming update for teams using Jira with Netwrix Platform Governance to manage and govern changes in Salesforce.
At the end of January 2026, we’ll be rolling out an upgraded Jira integration built on Atlassian’s Forge framework. This move keeps Platform Governance aligned with Atlassian best practices and delivers a cleaner, more streamlined experience for Salesforce teams working in Jira.
What’s changing?
After upgrading, you can expect:
- A modern, cleaner Jira interface
- Fewer clicks and smoother workflows
- A faster, more intuitive experience for managing change requests
These improvements are designed to make it easier to manage Salesforce change requests in Jira and reconcile them with the actual configuration changes happening in Salesforce.
Platform Governance for Salesforce version 7
The new Jira integration will be released alongside Platform Governance for Salesforce version 7, which introduces several powerful enhancements, including:
- A simplified Change Request experience
- New controls that allow admins to specify exactly which Salesforce fields are tracked
- Enhanced visibility to define and track specific permission assignments, not just high-level access
Together, these updates will provide tighter control, deeper visibility, and stronger governance over Salesforce changes and access.
What to expect next
We’re excited for customers to move to the new Forge-based Jira app. The existing Jira integration will remain supported for a limited time, but our goal is to retire it as customers migrate to the new experience.
More details and migration guidance will be shared closer to release. For now, mark your calendar!
