What’s Changed in Netwrix Platform Governance for Salesforce 6.1
Strongpoint has been rebranded as Netwrix Platform Governance
In the user interface, Netwrix Strongpoint for Salesforce now appears as Netwrix Platform Governance for Salesforce. It’s important to note that customers can access the application by searching for “Netwrix Lightning” in the App Launcher. The new name for Strongpoint Home is Netwrix Dashboard.
New field in Jira integration
This update allows customers to map up to three custom fields, in their Jira instance, to the Core Change Request. This grants them the flexibility to transmit additional info that is relevant to their organization.
FastScan for Salesforce profiles and permission sets
Using the Audit Trail, the new FastScan option reduces the time required to scan profiles and permission sets by approximately 70%.
Export Object, Environment Comparison, and Change Log in the Lightning App
Following Salesforce best practices, we’ve converted these elements to Lightning Web Components to enhance performance, and provide a cleaner layout, enabling customers to focus on the data that matters most.
Major enhancements
Policy Changes report: changes in customizations are tracked
When a user adds or removes customizations from a policy, a change log is generated showing the specific modifications. These can be reviewed in the new Policy Changes report.
Non-editable Overview/Description fields in Change Requests
Users can edit certain fields (including the Overview/Description) before a Change Request is approved or completed. Once approved or completed, those fields become locked.
Popup notification for batch report downloads
In addition to email notifications, users will now receive an in-app popup notification when their selected reports are ready for batch download.
Streamlined Dependency Relationship Diagram
In the Dependency Relationship Diagram (DRD), objects with many linked objects now display on the first 10 by default. A ‘Next’ button allows users to view the full list, making it easier to find relevant dependencies.
Customizable Report Clean-Up
Administrators can preview reports scheduled for clean-up and exclude specific ones as needed.
Retirement of Workflow Rules
As Salesforce will no longer support Workflow Rules after December 31, 2025, all such rules previously used by Platform Governance for Salesforce have been migrated to Flows.
Other enhancements
- Customers can access the Netwrix Community from the Home Page. There, they can ask questions, stay up to date on product enhancements, share product ideas and feature requests, or simply read and contribute best practices.
- The Scheduler’s Automated Pre-Validation message has been updated.
- Managed Package Apex Classes updated to API version 45 or later.
- Numerous additional enhancements have been made to improve administration, the user interface, performance, and security.
Release Schedule
Please note that we will push the 6.1 version to your sandboxes on April 25 WITHOUT the Jira enhancements. Production orgs will be updated May 2nd and include the Jira enhancement. The Jira enhancements are not included in the sandbox release as to not impact Jira functionality in your Production orgs until they are updated as well.
