USB-C to Ethernet Cable via EPP Device Control

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

USB-C to Ethernet Cable via EPP Device Control

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

When using a USB-C to Ethernet cable with an Android phone:

After configuring the Ethernet settings so that the PC and the phone are on the same IP subnet,
if the user goes to My Files → Network Storage on the Android device and enters the PC’s IP address,
it becomes possible to browse, search, and download all files from the PC using the phone.

We attempted to block this behavior by restricting unknown storage devices, network sharing, USB modem access, etc., but the access is still not prevented.

Therefore, we would like to request a feature improvement to address this issue.
Alternatively, could you confirm whether this functionality is outside the scope of what EPP can control or block?

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

We have not been able to resolve this issue.

Hi Justin,

Simona
