Under the list of computers, I notice a new thing
When we select any device we are getting new option like Migrate to new EPP server.
What is this mean? should we transfer to new EPP server or stay in old one?
Any thoughts or idea. Happy to hear!!!
Hi Afraz,
There are rare situations where customers may need to deploy a new Endpoint Protector server. This happened in September with the release of Endpoint Protector server version 2509. To simplify the transition to a new EPP VMs, we introduced a migration feature that allows existing agents to be redirected to a new server IP or FQDN, without needing to reinstall the agents or run scripts through third party tools.
If you see the “Migrate to new EPP server” option, it means your environment is already running a 25xx or 26xx version, so there is no action required at the moment and the feature can be ignored for now. We will announce it in the community when the existing VM needs to be replaced with a new one, and you will then be able to use this migration capability.
