Manual translation in PPE / PASSWORD RESET

Hi,

The documentation at https://docs.netwrix.com/docs/passwordreset/3_3/administration/configuringpasswordreset/enroll_tab says that the language can be changed, but we currently have only one option. How can we add or create a Lithuanian language?

1. In the documentation at https://docs.netwrix.com/docs/passwordreset/3_3/evaluation/password_reset_client, the link to PRC_Config.zip doesn’t work — no file is downloaded, and it redirects to another page.

2. After installing Netwrix Password Reset v3.3 on the web server, when selecting any menu option in the browser, a file named apr.dll is downloaded instead of opening the desired menu. I fixed this by adding the highlighted line to web.config, but I’m not sure if that’s the correct solution.

Hi Simonas,

Officially, there is no built in support for Lithuanian.However, there is a work around. You can use another language and just use it as a container for the Lithuanian translations. The officially supported languages are:

Here are the steps to adding Polish and then ‘filling it’ with Lithuanian.

1. New languages for questions are added in a registry key at \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ANIXIS\ANIXIS Password Reset\3.0. The key is called QuestionList and is formatted with the language code (eg. en or pl) and a question. If you have at least one line for each language you want in the key, the language will appear in the configuration console.

NB: Notice I’ve used Polish for these questions but they are in Lithuanian.

2. Next is to create a set of HTML files for Lithuanian but they will actually be prefixed with the Polish language code. You can copy the English language ones and translate the text or use the ones I’ve attached. Be careful not to remove the comments from the HMTL pages because our dll uses these to inject text in the pages. There are 7 HTML pages.

   

3. If you have more than one language, you will need to add a Lithuanian and English in the language selector form at the bottom of the en_default and pl_default pages.

5. Finally, you need to modify the page that the credential provider (the NPR client) links to in the Windows Lock Screen to point to the correct page (pl_default.htm).
