Add ability to configure what a scan does per file server in a single source group.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
There sometimes is a reason to configure excluding certain shares on an individual file server but not on others. The ability to do this per file server in the same group means a customer wouldn’t need to create a multitude of individual groups for each file server just as a workaround to have individualized configurations for each. This defeats the whole concept of having groups to begin with. It would be a lot easier to have a way to configure how you want each file server in the group scanned (at least with as many of the configuration options as possible without adding too much messiness or complexity) while still only having that one scheduled scan that then goes and reaches out for data on the same set cadence for all a customer’s file servers targeting only what is desired for each.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
A unique source group must be created for each individual target host where specific configurations are required that are different from the others.
