What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Improve Max resolution in Privilege Secure sessions so users can use 4K screens and more
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently users are unable to go full screen on their privilege sessions when connecting from NPS if they are using large screens or higher resolution monitors.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
users connect from RDP client using connection strings
We have asked one of our developers to research what the potential lift would be to add support for QHD and 4K resolution monitors. We will keep you posted with our findings.
If multi-monitor is not checked, then sessions use the default resolution and resizing can only go smaller. You can change the default to full screen and then resize down during the session if desired. Or, turn multi-monitor on and it will start in full-screen regardless of the default setting. As a bonus, for any macOS users getting a tiling effect when they resize, the multi-monitor setting will fix that.
My guess is you don’t have multi-monitor checked and a default resolution that is not full screen?
If you are curious about Smart Sizing:
Smart Sizing on - when the windowis resized, then what is shown is also resized in the window to fit, including aspect ratio and resulting distortion.
Smart sizing off - Any resizing smaller causes part of the screen to be covered and sliders to show up so you can access the covered area.
I generally prefer multi-monitor and smart sizing both on.
None of these change the underlying resolution I don’t think, but the widows are bigger so you can see them better.
