HA failover and failback improvement
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
When we have an HA setup with active-passive configuration, the history is not carried over from secondary to primary during failback. It would be beneficial if, when we reconfigure HA on the secondary, it updates the history on the primary database to ensure the data is up to date.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
When failing back, you can switch the roles by changing the primary server to the secondary server and the secondary server to the primary. Then, configure HA accordingly before reverting to the original setup. This process requires configuration changes and can be time-consuming, as the backup database needs to run a couple of times.
