Changing Session Recording Path in Netwrix Privilege Secure + NPS HA Mode

Hi everyone,

In Netwrix Privilege Secure, I noticed that when creating an Activity to record a user’s RDP session, the recording files are stored locally on the server. I wasn’t able to find an option to change the path.

Is there a way to redirect these session recordings to a network share instead of keeping them locally?

Additionally, I’d like to know if the NPS servers working in an HA setup can function in Active-Active mode, rather than just Active-Passive.

Thanks.

Or Matzliach.

Hey Or,

Thanks for reaching out…two good questions. Here are instructions to change the recording location (Confirmed to accept network path location as well as Drive letter): How to Change the Path Where Session Recordings Are Stored

As to HA and Active-Active vs Active-Passive, if you are using our internal Postgresql database the only HA option available for the database is Active-Passive.
If you deploy to an external database (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or various cloud flavors of these) then your DB Team can configure HA according to their best practices and Active-Active is supported. As long as NPS can see the single database instance we use all will be good. We frequently deploy to MSSQL always on availability groups and recommend them when deploying to Microsoft SQL.

If the NPS services are in a mesh they function similarly regardless of the database HA type.
