I seem to remember there being a trick to get the FileSystem overview page to come up faster. I cannot find that trick in the documentation or on this portal. Anyone remember how to make that page with the high-level metrics come up faster?
Hi Philip,
The metrics generation for the page is what ends up extending the load time. You can disable the metrics entirely by navigating to the group folder in windows explorer (default path %SAINSTALLDIR%\Jobs\GROUP_FileSystem and renaming or removing the Solution.XML file. This will disable the metrics from generating allowing the page to load more quickly when viewing the published reports in the web.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for if there was another trick in mind.
Another trick is to open any reports in new tab (right click “Open link in new tab”) and leave the first FileSystem page open. The original query that can take a long time to load does not need to execute each time when you just need to view a few reports.
Thank you. This works. Would love to have these queries converted to generated tables in the future.
