Filter out AD Group or OU from permissions reports

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

I would like to have the possibility hide several users ou ad groups from state in time file server permission report

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Our Server Folder Permission reports are very long because almost all folders appear either as administrators or Active Directory administrator groups. This greatly increases the size of the reports. It is important to note that we have our reports validated by our data managers, who are well aware that we have access to everything. We would therefore like to make the reports more readable by being able to hide ourselves. This should be done without losing track of the real-time activities of administrators in other reports.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

I can’t, i tried to add group in omittokengroups.txt and administrators in userstoexclude.txt but it didn’t worked.
If this were possible, I could add users the day before the scan state in time and remove them the next day, since we publish our reports every three months. In the meantime, we would retain administrators’ activities in other reports.

Hey @dimav ! This request is a quite common one, so kindly review the possibility of filtering SiT reports by user \ group (currently we can only disable the whole data collection for a specific group\user OR delete its collected data from all reports (both SiT and Changes). we’ve been having similar requests multiple times. Thank you!

@ftastet hey, thanks for the idea. Could you please clarify - would you like to exclude administrators on the collection level or on the report level (i.e. for this data to be collected and available for reporting overall and in other file server reports)? Since you are trying to use omit lists I’m assuming you are trying to avoid the OU completely, but it sounds to me that there might be a use case for you still to want to have them available for other state in time reports. So my thinking is to have a filter like we have in Accounts - Attributes report. Would that be helpful?
