Enable Change Tracker to automatically retrieve rotated vCenter credentials from an external secrets manager or PAM solution and re-establish monitoring without manual intervention.

This is to propose an automated credential rotation mechanism for vCenter connections in Change Tracker. Change Tracker would retrieve updated vCenter credentials from an external secrets manager or PAM solution via API, either on a configurable polling schedule or triggered by a credential change event. Once new credentials are retrieved, connectivity to vCenter would be re-validated and device discovery re-triggered automatically in the background. The entire cycle would be transparent to the administrator, with visibility provided only through an audit log entry. This would ensure continuous, uninterrupted monitoring in environments with strict password rotation policies.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Manual process which can create operational overhead and result in temporary monitoring gaps if not performed promptly after each rotation.
