Add EasyLock Launch Button in Agent for 1+ Non–Read Only Mode to Support CMMC Requirements
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, there is no way to launch or relaunch the EasyLock application after a configured drive is plugged in and the application is closed when the drive is set to 1+ Non–Read Only mode. In contrast, the 1+ Read Only mode includes a button that allows users to switch between the encrypted container and read-only options.
By adding a similar button in the agent for drives configured in Non–Read Only mode, users would be able to close and relaunch the EasyLock application without having to eject and reconnect the drive each time. This enhancement would significantly improve usability and reduce unnecessary steps for end users.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
This enhancement will support our overall CMMC compliance efforts. We have users who are authorized Army personnel, and due to several control requirements, we must fully secure their drives so that read-only access is not permitted. Their only approved storage mechanism must be the encrypted container.
This feature enhancement will improve the user experience by allowing them to relaunch the EasyLock software after it has been closed, or in cases where it does not automatically launch when the device is connected. Again, the only way to achieve this is ejecting and re-inserting the drive back into the computer in this mode (1+ Non Read Only).
