Support for bidirectional MTP file trace

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Currently, MTP file trace logs are only generated for file exports, and no logs are recorded for file imports. In the case of USB, file tracking logs are recorded in both directions, but MTP does not generate import logs. Therefore, it would be desirable for MTP to also record logs for file imports in file trace.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Currently, there is no way to resolve this.

Hi Choi,

Thank you for your inquiry and activity on the Community portal. We have previously invested effort to make MTP more granular, but it wasn’t technically possible. However, we’re not giving up, and I will register an internal development SPIKE to explore solutions, potentially with the latest OS builds. I can’t promise a specific ETA right now, but please stay tuned for future updates.
