What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Add the ability to selectively delete file system data from the NEA database by resource or folder path for a specific host.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, NEA allows for dropping file system data at the host level, but does not support targeted deletion of data for specific folders or resources. This presents a challenge when customers want to clean up or remove historical data associated with specific paths—particularly in cases of reorganization, decommissioned shares, or data retention policies—without affecting unrelated data on the same host.
Introducing resource-level or folder-specific cleanup functionality would provide much-needed flexibility, reduce data bloat, and avoid unintentional data loss. Ideally, this could be job that allows for the specification of which paths/resources to drop.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
At present, the only workaround is to drop all file system data for the host, which is overly broad and results in the loss of all associated activity data.
