What’s New
Retention policy
Global setting added for retention time (In days) of:
- I/O logs (RDP/SSH session recordings)
- Emails
- SIEM logs
NOTE: This is deletion not archiving!
User privilege escalation with optional connection to a resource
Some customers want to be able to promote users with NPS, but then go perform tasks outside of NPS and not necessarily have an RDP/SSH session. This feature allows users to select from a list of groups to be promoted into. They may or may not then connect to a resource. When the session ends, the users are removed from groups.
A new activity called “Add User to Groups and Roles” allows the administrator setting it up to select a set of groups and groups (AD, EntraID, Oracle, SQL) and the option, but not required, to select resources
Resource Group Enhancements
Access policies tab to see the access policies assigned to the resource group
Connection profiles tab to see the connection profiles assigned to the resource group
For OU auto-onboarding, set platform
For OU auto-onboarding, set service account (Least Privilege)
Auditor role capability expansion
Auditor role can now monitor live sessions and if needed, terminate or block them
UI filters in User and Resources pages
User Page date range filter for last login
Resources page multi-select filter for operating system
Resources page multi-select filter for resource group
Resources page date range filter for last scanned
RDP Resolution 2k added
2560x1440 resolution added as an RDP choice, though “Full Screen” is probably best choice for most users.
