We are using Netwrix as our primary auditing and monitoring tool. I just joined the community so we are looking forward to learning some more. Question - we plan on moving most files to Azure storage later this year. Does Netwrix have anything that will monitor file modifications in the cloud?
Hi, Stephen.
Welcome to the Community and thank you for reaching out!
Currently, Netwrix Auditor is able to audit Azure Files using the Azure Files Add-On which you may find in the Netwrix Auditor Add-on Store:
You may find the documentation for the Add-On in our Help Center at Azure Files.
There are plans to make Azure Files its own unique, fully-fledged Data Source within Netwrix Auditor in version 10.8, though this will be dependent upon passing all of our quality control testing and the absence of any as yet undiscovered bugs.
In addition, many customers I have worked with in my time supporting Netwrix Auditor also leverage SharePoint Online for their file storage and organization needs. This is also fully supported in the product. Please see SharePoint Online in our Help Center.
Hi skoenig2027, Dmitry here—PM for Netwrix Auditor! In addition to what Nate is saying above, I’d love to have you submit an idea in the Auditor Ideas Portal where we track the things our community is interested in seeing in future iterations of our product. Here’s our ideas portal, right here in the community: Auditor > Ideas
Let me know if you have any questions, or need any help submitting your first idea!
Thank you Nate and Dmitry! I appreciate the resouces from you both. I will look into them.
