Netwrix Data Classification 5.8.0.7 is here! You can now run Netwrix Data Classification on PostgreSQL, include all Exchange and SharePoint Online sites and mailboxes or exclude specific ones with regular expression patterns, control exactly who can read document contents, and reliably download even the largest tables. This release also brings performance improvements for large databases and several important fixes for Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) labeling.

What’s Changed in Netwrix Data Classification 5.8.0.7
PostgreSQL database support
Netwrix Data Classification can now use PostgreSQL 16 or later as its database, alongside Microsoft SQL Server. Choose SQL Server or PostgreSQL on the SQL Database step of the setup wizard. PostgreSQL connections support both database authentication and Windows authentication. The current implementation is for new Data Classification databases. A migration tool for existing SQL Server implementations is coming later.
Include-all and exclusion options for dynamic Exchange and SharePoint Online sources
Dynamic Exchange and SharePoint Online sources previously required an inclusion regular expression to select which sites or mailboxes to collect. You can now choose to include everything, or define regular expression patterns that exclude specific sites and mailboxes.
Document display control
Viewing document text in the Text tab of Sources is now controlled by a separate permission. Super users no longer see document contents by default, so you can grant access only to the users who need it. Document display control also works with the existing security trimming functionality.
Download data from very large tables
Tables too large to download directly from the admin pages are now queued as a background report instead of failing partway through. When the file is ready, you receive an email with a download link. Administrators can adjust the row threshold for queuing through a database setting.
