What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Allow administrators to manually upgrade Netwrix Auditor agents using a standalone MSI installer without automatic deployment.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Many organizations, particularly in regulated industries, prohibit automatic software updates due to compliance policies. Currently, upgrading agents in Netwrix Auditor is tied to automatic deployment via the console, which does not align with these policies. This feature would enable administrators to export or download a version-specific MSI installer for agents directly from the Netwrix console. With this, they can manually upgrade agents on target machines while maintaining compliance, reducing deployment risks, and avoiding unnecessary agent removal or redeployment. It also allows organizations to control upgrade timing and implement upgrades during approved maintenance windows.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Currently, administrators must work around the system by either manually extracting MSI installers (if available from support), performing a redeployment from scratch (which is operationally disruptive), or temporarily enabling automatic upgrades (which violates compliance). These approaches are inefficient, risky, and often not viable in high-security environments.
