How can agents be upgraded to version 10.6 manually without removing them from the targets (i.e., without re-deploying or forcing an upgrade

Dears we faced an issue with upgrading Netwrix from 10.6 to 10.7 since as per our policy and regulation its prohibited to have agent been upgrading automatically and can any advise us with any way to have it manually on the target machines also please advise if can have a specific MSI fie for that.

Thank you for your question and for providing important context regarding your internal policies.

We understand the need for manual agent upgrade control in environments where automatic updates are restricted. Currently, agent upgrades are typically handled centrally via the product console, but we recognize that more granular control may be necessary for regulated environments.

We are reviewing this internally to determine what options may be available or could be added in future releases to support manual agent upgrades.

We’ll follow up as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, if others in the community have addressed this in their environments, we welcome you to share your approach.

Thank you again for raising this important use case.

We’ve taken your feedback seriously and created a feature request based on your use case in the Netwrix Community Ideas portal. The idea proposes enabling administrators to manually upgrade agents using a standalone MSI installer—ideal for environments where automatic updates are restricted by policy or compliance requirements.
