What’s Changed in Identity Recovery 3.1
A New Name and New Look
Many of you have relied on this solution under its former name, Recovery for AD . However, as we have expanded our support to include Entra ID and now Okta, that name no longer captured the full power of the tool. To better reflect its multi-platform capabilities, we are rebranding this product to Identity Recovery .
Along with the name change, version 3.1 introduces a refreshed UI . We have updated the interface colors and styling to align with the global Netwrix brand identity, ensuring a consistent look and feel across your Netwrix toolkit.
Granular Recovery for Okta
The standout feature of version 3.1 is the introduction of Granular Recovery for Okta. In today’s SaaS-heavy environments, a single misconfiguration or accidental deletion in Okta can disrupt the entire business.
With version 3.1, you can now restore Okta obejcts and attributes with surgical accuracy. If you’re faced with an accidental deletion or a configuration error, you can fix exactly what’s broken without needing to perform a tenant-wide rollback or a manual rebuild. This keeps your users productive and your IT team focused on higher-value tasks.
Thinking about a move to SaaS?
For organizations prioritizing a cloud-native strategy for their cloud identities, these Okta and Entra ID recovery capabilities are also available as part of our 1Secure ITDR SaaS platform.
While the on-premises version (Identity Recovery) remains the go-to for full AD Forest rollback and on-prem AD recovery, the SaaS platform focuses on the cloud identity lifecycle. It closes the loop from AD and Entra ID risk visibility and AI-based Remediation Guidance → Continuous AD and Entra ID Monitoring & Alerting → Granular Recovery for Entra ID and Okta.
