Ok, I tried upgrading to this from the previous version of 3.1 and it trashed the installation entirely. I even took a snapshot of the entire server before, and luckily, I am back at version 3.1.2.26. I’ve had issues with every upgrade, and this one was the worst - to where I couldn’t even perform a fresh install and reconnect to SQL. It got an error during installation, upon connecting to SQL. I don’t think it damaged the database at all, because reverting the server and restarting the two services for this did the trick. I’ll stick to 3.1.2.26 for now. Please work on this install. It also told me I didn’t have the proper redistributable runtimes for VC++ yet continued the installation anyway, I’m guessing it blew past a safety and installed anyway. I opened a ticket.

This definitely is not the experience we’d expect you to have upgrading to the latest version of Identity Recovery through a hotfix. Thank you for reporting it, and I’ve already passed this along to the development team so they are aware and can investigate the issue.

We’ll work closely with support to request an artifacts that may help in triaging the issue or reproduction.
