What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Enhance the dashboard or the system health notification to include automated tracking and visualization of key performance metrics over time. This would help identify performance changes, validate tuning adjustments, and reduce the need for manual tracking.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, the dashboard provides point-in-time visibility into system activity. For example, how many items are in the collection queue, average documents processed per hour, and total number of items classified at that exact moment.
It would be highly valuable if the product could automatically capture, store, and chart these metrics over time to help identify performance trends, validate configuration changes, and diagnose issues that develop gradually. Administrators would benefit from the ability to view how performance metrics change over time to identify slowdowns, measure optimization results, and better tune configurations.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
This idea originated from a customer who tracks dashboard metrics manually in a spreadsheet to spot trends. The customer found that this manual process provided significant insights but took extra time, and recommended that the product handle it natively.
Similar behavior already exists in Netwrix Auditor, such as the Activity Summary module, which provides weekly summaries and charts. Expanding that concept across other areas of the product (DQS, indexing, collection queues) would bring consistent visibility and improve the user experience.
