Feature Request: Adding Day-of-Week Filter for Alerts

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

I’m requesting the ability to add a filter for specific days of the week to customize when alerts are triggered, in addition to the existing time-based filters.

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

I’ve noticed that while it’s possible to apply filters based on time when configuring alerts, there currently seems to be no option to add a filter for specific days of the week. I’m referring to the ability to configure alerts so that they trigger only on certain days, excluding others.

For example, it would be useful to have a filter that ensures the alert does not trigger on Monday and Tuesday, but instead triggers on the subsequent days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, etc.). A filter like “Weekdays not equal Monday, Tuesday” would be extremely helpful to avoid false alarms on specific days, and would allow for further customization of alerts according to operational needs.

I believe that adding a day-of-week filter would significantly improve the granularity and flexibility of alerts, enabling even more precise management of workflows and monitoring.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Currently, we rely solely on the time-based filter for configuring alerts, but unfortunately, this doesn’t fully meet our needs. While the time filter allows us to trigger alerts within specific time intervals, it doesn’t allow us to exclude or select specific days of the week, which makes it difficult to tailor the alerts to our actual operational requirements.
It would therefore be very useful to have the ability to add a filter for specific days of the week, to further refine the management of alerts and improve accuracy in our operations.
