Is anyone else experiencing issues with file attachment protection on Facebook Messenger (web) and Google Drive?
When DPI is enabled, file attachment protection doesn’t work when uploading files through Facebook Messenger on the web. If I disable DPI, the protection works correctly.
However, disabling DPI has side effects: it impacts the domains on my allow list and also causes files in Thunderbird to be scanned.
Has anyone encountered this issue or found a workaround?
I think the protection function isn’t working because DPI isn’t functioning properly.
The most common mistake is installing the certificate for macOS clients.
While DPI certificates are installed automatically on Windows and Linux, they must be installed manually on macOS (or you will need MDM for Apple like a Jamf).
Please let me know the OS of the client where the problem is occurring, and review the DPI - Certificate Installation section in the Netwrix EPP manual.
