Create a Hyper-V Generation 2 Compatible EPP Server Disk

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Hyper-V Generation 2 VMs were introduced back with Windows Server 2012. It is now over 10 years later and the old Gen1 MBR/BIOS VMs are being slowly phased out in favor of GPT/UEFI booting Gen 2 VMs. These Gen2 VMs offer additional features like Secure Boot and larger disk sizes. Some backup and DR vendors will only work with the Gen2 VMs for Hyper-V.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

There are often no workarounds available, so we have to exclude any legacy Gen1 VMs from those plans.
