Add Import Customization button on the top

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Add Import Customization button on the top

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Users currently need to make four clicks to select a file for import. Adding a button at the top for convenience would reduce clicks. This button can be placed next to the “Change Request Record Type” field. Please see the screenshot for reference.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Have to do multiple clicks for importing a file

Upload any supporting images that you think should be considered in this idea.

Hi @rnaik, Thank you for submitting this request. Please allow our R&D team to evaluate this change, and check back for updates to the post.

Thank you @Valerie.Callahan ! It would be great if the team can help to prioritize this change, which can save 4 clicks for every single ticket. For customers who use DevOps tool, this would be the first and only button needed on the Jira plugin. Having to click through all those other unrelated buttons is not a pleasant user experience.

Looking forward to your updates.

Thank you @Valerie.Callahan ! Do you have a release date for this yet? We are looking forward to it!

Hi @dawnzdy & @rnaik, Good news! This will be out in our upcoming 7.0 release currently scheduled for mid-November. Should that change, I will update you.

Hi @Valerie.Callahan, just following up on our previous chat. You mentioned it’s scheduled for mid-November. Could you please confirm the exact date when the feature will be released?
FYI @dawnzdy

Hi @rnaik @dawnzdy ,

Unfortunately, we’ve had to push back this release until the end of January 2026. We know this means waiting a little longer for a feature you’ve been excited about — and we completely understand how frustrating that can be. This decision gives our team the time needed for thorough quality assurance and helps us avoid launching right in the middle of the holiday rush.

Taking this extra time ensures we can deliver a smoother, higher-quality experience for everyone once the update goes live. Thank you for your patience and continued support — we really appreciate it!
