When customer enviroment, uploading files to https://colab.research.google.com/ using the Google Chrome web browser, they are not blocked and no logs.

My opnions

Certain websites/services, including https://colab.research.google.com/, use the Jupyter Messaging Protocol and WebSocket Protocol.

Netwrix EPP cannot block file attachments or track logs related to the Jupyter Messaging Protocol and WebSocket Protocol.

This is believed to be a pathway for serious file export.

I would appreciate Netwrix Team’s feedback.

Hi Jeremy,

I did some research on my end, and you are correct. https://colab.research.google.com/ uses WebSockets, which we are currently unable to properly inspect.

If this functionality is important for your use case, please open a support ticket so we can evaluate the feasibility of adding support for it.

Thanks,

Zoran
