What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Workstation field is not available in activity records generated from the Isilon data source in Netwrix Auditor

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

We have Netwrix Auditor 10.8 (Build 15066) with a File Server monitoring plan for an Isilon A300 based on OneFS Version: 9.10.1.2.

Workstation field is not available in activity records generated from the Isilon data source even if in original logs from Isilon the value is present.

We have no errors but in the Search view Workstation field is missing.

It would be very useful to have the workstation field populated for operations aimed at identifying the source from which the action on the files occurred. This is something that is already available in the File Server monitoring plan for Windows servers.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Unfortunately I didn’t solve it.

Hi Max,

Thanks a lot for sharing this. You’re right, the Workstation field isn’t currently showing up for Isilon data sources.

We’ve logged this as a feature request to bring full support for the Workstation field in Netwrix Auditor for File Servers – Isilon just like it does for Windows file servers.

We know how useful this is for tracking where file activity comes from, and we’ll keep the community updated once it moves forward.
