What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
The delivery settings of those groups renewed after the expiry were changed to accept emails from internal senders only.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
We recently observed that a few groups expired and were later restored after a few hours. However, post-restoration, the delivery settings of those groups were changed to accept emails from internal senders only.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Not solved the issue.
We understand that the current behavior, where Exchange attributes such as delivery restrictions, moderation settings, and extension attributes are cleared once a mail-enabled group expires by design. However, this is causing significant business impact, as some of these groups are critical and external emails are being missed after the group is renewed. In several cases, the group is renewed by an owner or admin without realizing that the Exchange-specific settings have been wiped. These issues are often discovered only days or weeks later, leading to escalations from affected teams.
