Patch Version 9.2.4 for Password Secure released

Bug Fixes and Improvements

We’re pleased to announce the release of Netwrix Password Secure 9.2.4. This maintenance release includes several backend improvements and targeted bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, and security across the platform.

The documentation for Password Secure release (v9.2.4) is in progress and will be available at a later date. Please see below for bug fix lists and other information about this release.

Highlights

  • More stable Windows App experience – We’ve fixed a bug that could cause the Windows App to become unresponsive. This issue impacted many users, and we appreciate your patience while we worked on it.
  • Goodbye to the legacy Web App – Starting with this version, only the new Web App can be deployed via Server Manager. The legacy version is no longer supported for new deployments.

Fixes and Enhancements by Component

Server

  • Modernized the report design for improved readability and consistency.
  • Enhanced Syslog server configuration:
    • Support for encrypted TCP connections.
    • Choose between message formats: RFC 5424 or RFC 3164.
  • The legacy Web App (“Web app (Legacy)”) can no longer be created in Server Manager. Please use the new Web App from now on.
  • When adding an existing database, you can now choose to activate it automatically.

Windows App

  • Fixed incorrect notification headers in the configuration view.
  • The “open website” button is now disabled if no URL is configured (applies to both online and offline versions).
  • Resolved an issue where the native Windows App could become unresponsive, requiring forced closure via Task Manager.

WebClient

  • Password Generator configuration no longer causes the WebClient to become unresponsive when misconfigured.
  • Fixed notification header display.
  • Passwords can now be entered again after being revealed if a reason is required.
  • The Quick View no longer closes automatically when modals (like reason entry) are opened.
  • Fixed an issue where the browser would hang when a user’s password is changed.
  • Image management pagination now works correctly.
  • It’s again possible to remove all selected legitimates when changing permissions on an object.
  • Password deletion (move to bin) now works as expected in the normal user view.
  • Fixed an issue where the username field was cleared during login if the database name was changed.

Reminder: If you missed it, our team recently shared an important update on RSA-to-ECC database migration. RSA support has been extended beyond 2025 to help ease the transition. Read the full post here.
