When will the Android application finally receive an update? It is currently, to put it mildly, entirely unusable

A suggested correction regarding the latest updates:
It would be helpful if the hash files did not misleadingly say “SHA256” inside since, as indicated in the filenames, these are actually SHA512 values. Thanks.

Short question concerning the naming of the version, in terms of the “new” definiton for that. Is this update a “patch”? Then name of the version should be “26.3.2.0.0”, right? Or is this “really” a major-version, so called - from your site? Then the name would be suitable.

Good catch, thanks for pointing this out.
You’re right, the hash labeling is inconsistent. We’ve flagged this internally and will correct it in the next update to avoid confusion.
Appreciate you calling it out.

Hi PGO 1337 - thanks for your question.

Honestly, a good question! We are aware of the current situation, and we take it very seriously.

At the moment, we are actively working on it, but - to be absolutely clear - it’s going to take us some more time!

I’ll follow up on this (here in the community) - and hopefully will share a detailed update soon!!

Cheers,
sascha

Hi Marcus Möwes - thanks for bringing this up!

First to confirm: this release is a ‘patch release’ - focused on fixes and stability improvements.

For a patch release, we count up the units: 26.3.101 - since we started with the major/breaking change release in March '26 (26.3.100), we now follow with .101 for a patch.

Additional to our small explainer here in the community, you can find more details/examples regarding the versioning in our documentation: Versioning scheme | Netwrix Product Documentation

Cheers,

Hi Sascha,

Thank you for clarifying that. I was a little bit “lost in translation” with the “spot” of the digits for the release indicator. Now I got it.

Best Regards

Marcus

Dear Sascha, thank you for your prompt reply. Since last year, we have repeatedly been assured by support that an update for the Android application was imminent, yet no tangible progress has been made. The most recent release dates back to July 15, 2024!

For a password manager, this stagnation is untenable and fundamentally incompatible with the rigorous compliance standards demanded by KRITIS organizations.

Regrettably, our executive leadership is now urging us to explore alternative solutions should the application fail to receive a timely update that restores full functionality.

We would greatly welcome a swift update, as we remain otherwise highly satisfied with the application.
I trust you will convey this urgent feedback to the appropriate colleagues and superiors.

Many thanks.
