What’s new in Netwrix Change Tracker 8.1

Easier Compliance Reporting for Databases

In previous releases, database connection strings were required as part of a database credential. This required a separate database credential for each database instance to monitor even if the username and password were the same! To address this, database credentials only contain username and password.

Connection strings are now required when defining a proxied device a database connection. This allows you to use the same database credential for multiple database connections. It also means there is only one credential to update when its password expires.

New ITSM integration: OpenText’s Service Management X (SMAX)

SMAX is the latest to be added to Netwrix Change Tracker’s extensive list of ITSM integrations.

If you are manually creating planned changes for event classification, take a look at our ITSM integrations to see if they could automate the process.

ServiceNow Cancelled RFC Support

Cancelled RFCs in ServiceNow previously remained active in Netwrix Change Tracker.

Now we automatically sync RFC cancellations and classify any previously linked change events as unplanned.
