What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Automatically add users to a distribution list

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

We have a sharepoint page and a distribution list will be publish on it. The owner of the page would want users to be able to click on DL link and they will be added to the DL without going through the portal.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

The owner of the DL or IT have to add the users manually through the portal.

Thanks for sharing your idea! We’d love to hear more. This helps our product team review and consider it for future updates.
One possible workaround you can implement right now is to convert the groups to semi-private and publish the group link on Sharepoint. This way, users can request membership, which the group owner can then approve or deny. All such requests would still go through the Directory Manager portal.
