Improve the OneDCPerDomain Hostlist to select a DC from the same subnet as Host/SQL to try and avoid selection of DCs with high latency
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently the OneDCPerDomain hostlist doesn’t appear to have any logic applied to select a DC close to the main server. At it’s simplest if we selected a DC in the same subnet as the NAA Host / SQL Server it would help avoid slow queries where out of box jobs are set to use the default OneDCPerDomain hostlist
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Manually create a list of single DCs per domain that are better aligned to location
