Hey Steven - thanks for reporting this and for your patience.

We are actively investigating the issue and working on a fix. At this stage, our analysis indicates that the behavior is related to an undocumented/unintended change in the latest browser update. Several issues have been reported to Chrome, and multiple browser extensions are affected. However, we are continuing to investigate all possible causes on our side as well.

Because of that, we can’t provide a firm ETA just yet. As soon as we have a confirmed root cause and a clear remediation path (whether that’s a product update, a workaround, or guidance on browser behavior), we’ll share an update here.

We understand the impact this has and are treating it as a priority. Thank you for bearing with us while we work through it.

Cheers

Hello,

Just to add to this case: We’re currently also experiencing this issue with Edge Browser (Version 144). Firefox is not affected.

I can confirm this as well. Microsoft Edge version 144.0.3719.82

I did not see an offical confrmation for Google Chrome yet, but we had users successfully back in this weekend if that help you.

Hopefully we can get confirmation for Google today that this is resolved for that browser.

Thanks!

jsut FYI some users were successful in getting into the Google Chrome version over the weekend, but now we are unable to replicate the solution to our users.

the only way to fix the plugin is to remove and resinstall in Googel Chrome.

Can anyone confirm this? I do not want to go and reinstall on every user again

In Edge, removed the plugin, restarted, installed it - still doesn’t work.

Same here. Removed the plugin –\u003e Restarted –\u003e Added the plugin again. No improvement.

Error:

Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘$type’)

Hello,

We are happy to announce that we have already responded to the recent change in Chromium that caused the issue. While the new version for Chrome has already been approved and is already available in the Chrome Web Store, the review for the Microsoft Edge Store is taking slightly longer.

As soon as Microsoft completes the review, the update will become available. Thank you for your patience and for reporting the issue.

Greetings,
Florian

Yeah, same Problem here with Edge 144.0.3719.82, “Cannot read properteis of null (reading ‘$type’)”

The updated plugins are now working for us in Chrome and Edge, both browsers automatically updated to the new version. Thanks.

The extension has now updated for us as well, and logging in via the browser extension is now possible again.

However, we can no longer copy passwords from the extension.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Same issue with MS Edge:
Cannot copy passwords or OTP codes from the browser add-on.

Login in the add-on works as usual again, autofill for user + passwords as well, and usernames can also be copied from the add-on, but not passwords or OTP codes. I tested it on several clients.

Edge: Version 144.0.3719.82 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Add-On: Netwrix Password Secure 9.3.0.33527

We are also experiencing the same issue.
Chrome version 144.0.7559.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Passwords cannot be copied from the add-on.

Same issue even with the previous version of Edge.

Edge: Version 143.0.3650.139 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Add-On: Netwrix Password Secure 9.3.0.33527

Hello,

I wanted to ask if an approximate time is already known for when the next update will be released?

Best regards,

Jürgen

Hello,
we are also affected by the copying issue, even with older versions of Chrome and in Edge, and would appreciate an estimate of the timeframe.
Regards

Uwe

@florian.berger Do you already have a tentative release date for the next update?

Best regards, Markus

Hello,

We’re happy to announce that we released the new version today. It restores the ability to copy passwords and TOTP tokens using the browser extension.

While the updated extension is already available for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, the update is not yet live on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page. It has been submitted, but since Microsoft requires additional time to review submissions, we cannot predict when it will be published.

Thank you again for your patience.

Greetings,
Florian
