What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
We need to detect CAD drawing PDF embeded files using a custom keyword detection.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
We need the ability to detect CAD drawing PDF files that contain embedded files or attachments using custom keyword-based detection in Netwrix Endpoint Protector.
CAD drawings are often converted to PDF for sharing, review, or documentation. These PDFs may also contain embedded CAD files, drawings, project documents, or other attachments. Although the outer file is identified as a PDF, the embedded content may contain sensitive engineering information that needs to be protected.
Currently, detecting the PDF based only on its file extension may not be sufficient to identify whether it contains a CAD drawing or embedded sensitive content.
Why This Is the Best Solution
A content-based detection approach would provide more effective protection than relying solely on file extensions. A CAD drawing can be renamed, exported to PDF, compressed, or embedded within another document, making extension-based detection less reliable.
Custom keyword detection would also give organizations the flexibility to define their own CAD-related identifiers and adapt the policy to different projects, customers, and engineering environments.

Currently, we do not have any specific control or detection mechanism for CAD drawings embedded within PDF files.
