What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

AIX Express Agents opening all FIM files simutaneously

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

After multiple troubleshooting back and forth with Netwrix Support and IBM, we have confirmed a limitation whereby AIX has a hardcode limit that only 65,535 files are allowed to open simultaneously by a process.

When we specify FIM to be monitored, it will try to open all the files which result in the error in which either the agent will be offline, or it will stop monitoring.

Can the express agent be modified so that it wouldn’t try to open all the files at the same time resulting in hitting the open max limit by IBM?

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

We are not able to monitor all required important files, we are monitoring less than 65,535 files which is affecting our File Integrity Monitoring.

We are still investigating the issue and looking at a possible resolution. We will update the escalation that is with the support team as soon as we make some progress.
