What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Add Parasolid File Types to the CAD Files - Section

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

It would be nice if there was a Parasolid file type field to check like it is for example with Autocad files(dwg, dxf). The important Parasolid file types are “.x_t” and “.x_b”.
I already created a feature request a long time ago with the ticket #00437351, but I also want it to be visible in the community to keep track of it.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

The only workaround is to put the file extensions in the “File Name” category but that is not as safe - a simple renaming of the file bypasses this policy.

Update: We have decided to move further with this request and therefore our team will conduct additional research into the implementation of Parasolid file types to CAD files category.
