What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Add Modern Authentication for email functionality

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Since Microsoft is retiring legacy authentication methods soon, can OAuth Modern Authentication be added to Netwrix Auditor so modules like Password Expiration Notification and Inactive Users can continue to send email to the end users and managers without having to set up on premise SMTP server or use a third-party solution?

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Currently the existing functionality still works, but I believe Microsoft will not support it past March 2026. May be earlier.

Hi Christopher,

Support for Modern Authentication is already available in current versions of Netwrix Auditor for email notifications. You can configure it directly in Notification → Use Netwrix Auditor notification settings, provided Modern Authentication is enabled Netwrix Auditor Console.
