What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Update NDC’s email settings to support modern authentication (OAuth2) for Exchange Online.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
NDC’s email notification settings currently only support standard SMTP authentication (username and password). Microsoft is actively deprecating Basic Auth for SMTP in Exchange Online, which will break NDC’s email notifications for customers who rely on Exchange Online for mail delivery. This makes the feature request time-sensitive. The ideal solution would be to add OAuth2/modern auth support to NDC’s email settings using an Azure AD registered app
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
The current workaround is to route NDC’s outbound email through an on-premises Exchange server or a third-party SMTP relay (such as SendGrid or Postfix) to avoid the Exchange Online SMTP AUTH requirement entirely. This adds unnecessary infrastructure overhead and is not a viable long-term solution.
