What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Add ‘Copilot’ as a dedicated option for Policy Exit Points
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Hello, this is Seungwook.
First of all, I would like to express my appreciation for the recent updates. We have confirmed that the LLM control features are now working effectively and as intended.
However, we have identified a minor usability issue that we believe could be improved. Currently, to control the Windows Copilot app, the ‘Policy Exit Point’ must be configured as ‘Edge’.
This current configuration can be counter-intuitive for administrators and potentially confusing for end-users.
To enhance administrative clarity and improve the overall user experience, we formally request that ‘Copilot’ be added as a dedicated, independent option in the Policy Exit Point settings.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Currently, we are managing the Copilot app via the Edge setting, but this approach is counter-intuitive.
Thank you for your request and for the appreciation words towards the recent updates!
We are happy to inform you that we are already considering this feature and it will be added into the product in a future release.
However, more details regarding delivery timeline will be shared upon progress.
Good day!
After reviewing this request, I wanted to let you know that Microsoft Copilot has already been added to our Content Aware Protection > Exit Points and is available to select as an application for monitoring.
Could you please confirm if this meets your expectations? We noticed you specifically mentioned the Windows Copilot app, so we’d like to ensure we’re addressing the exact coverage you’re looking for.
Thank you for incorporating my feedback.
However, after testing the latest release (version 2602), I found that selecting “Microsoft Copilot” at the policy exit point did not work. I still had to select “Edge” in order to successfully control Copilot.
Could you please look into this and verify if the issue has been resolved?
