Ability to add prefix and/or suffix values to discovered devices
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
A single Change Tracker instance could be used to manage multiple customers (MSP setup). In that scenario, each customer could be organized into groups identified by a specific naming prefix and/or suffix.
For example:
PREFIX-001_WINSRV
PREFIX-002_LNXSVR
PREFIX-003_ESX123
When using the device discovery feature, an MSP may like the ability to specify a prefix/suffix and automatically apply it to newly discovered devices. This would ensure the devices are correctly associated with the appropriate customer and corresponding groups.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Discovered devices need to be manually renamed.
