Hello,
What is the best way to have versioning and deployment control/approvals in POLICY PAK? Is there a good combo with other solution / solutions or a workaround perhaps? Thank you in advance.
Hello,

It depends on the deployment method. If you subscribe to the online cloud method of policy deployment (SaaS), there’s a built in upgrade routine. If you employ the AD or MDM integrated methods, then our suggestion is use a software deployment system such as PDQ deploy for deployment and version control. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your reply. I have checked cloud / SAAS version and it really has more to offer. But we cannot find:
If it’s not there, can we use a workaround? Manual exporting and labeling is not an option with 8000 endpoints.
True. This isn’t as sophisticated as a dedicated software deployment system would be. There are ways to get reports on what versions of the software is installed (Computer List) and many other things (e.g. what policies are delivered, connection details, etc).
You are correct, a centralized rollback is not something that we are able to do inherently. It is possible using scripts, but that can get a little messy, and it certainly isn’t a managed process. To prevent situations where this would be necessary, we highly recommend using a ring deployment strategy when upgrading the software. Start small and test, test, test. Expand the scope, and test some more.
Jeremy here.. I want to add 2 cents..
So, PolicyPak ON-PREM / MMC has its own ROLLBACK and also works with CHANGE MANAGEMENT tools. All those details are here: Netwrix Documentation
The CLOUD version also has Side-by-side comparison and history and rollback to previous state PER POLICY. Netwrix Documentation (Check out the COMPARE function)
So hopefully between these items you can get what you want.

Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for elaborating on this. Could you please do the same for delegation of rights? Thank you in advance : )
We hope to have something useful for you in PolicyPak Cloud but I have no ETA to share at this time.
Delegation of rights works in on premises POLICY PAK version ( AD based), right?
Does it make any sense to combine on prem + cloud to have versioning and delagation of rights?
