Get ready — Netwrix Endpoint Protector is here to support Apple’s brand-new macOS Tahoe release! With our commitment to zero-day readiness, we’re ensuring our customers can upgrade with confidence while staying protected against data loss.
Endpoint Protector and macOS Tahoe Compatibility
About this announcement
On September 15, 2025, Apple launched macOS 26 Tahoe. As always, Netwrix Endpoint Protector is prepared to support new operating system releases. However, we’d like to share an important note for customers planning to upgrade
Next Steps
If you’re already running EPP Client 5.9.4.3 for macOS (build 3.0.5.3000), you’re all set — no action needed.
If you’re on an earlier version, we strongly recommend upgrading to 5.9.4.3 before moving your endpoints to macOS Tahoe to ensure full compatibility.
Known Issues
With macOS Tahoe, changes to Apple’s operating system have introduced temporary limitations that we are addressing:
Incoming AirDrop traffic is not currently blocked.
To mitigate this issue, the upcoming Endpoint Protector Client release (~2510.x.x.x) will provide bidirectional visibility into AirDrop and give admins granular control over both incoming and outgoing traffic.
The Camera Blocking feature in macOS Device Control may affect the Tahoe upgrade process.
To mitigate this issue, temporarily change the camera permission from “block” to “allow” during the macOS upgrade process. This issue will be addressed in the upcoming EPP Client release.
