Upgrading Netwrix Auditor on Server 2016

I am in the Netwrix Auditor on my server and am at v10.7. How far behind are we and is the software I have able to be updated to a later version without yet upgrading my Server 2016 and old SQL Server versions??

I am waiting for MS to assist with the SQL Server DB compatibility and upgrades on this box prior to any version upgrades of Server, SQL, Netwrix. I see in the Auditor settings a new version is available. I’m concerned about updating and it not going well. Though I will take a snapshot.

Hi @michaelsethengel , the latest available version is 10.7.13813. If you experience issues described in the post Netwrix Auditor Displays Errors Following Recent Windows Update, an update will be recommended - the team is working on a fix (10.7.13820) that will be released soon. Regarding the prerequisites, my colleagues will help you.

Hello @michaelsethengel, thank you for the post. Wanted to expand upon my colleague’s response. SQL 2016 is still supported in the newer versions of Auditor. I’ve included a link to our helpcenter guide which lists the supported SQL versions.

A fix to the issue Daniel mentioned was also just released yesterday. You should be able to upgrade directly to the newest version.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

-Thank You

Thank you, Evan, for the clarification.

I may have given incorrect info as my ultimate goal is to upgrade my Windows Server from 2016 to 2022, update the SQL Server version from 08/12/14 to SQL Server 2022 without breaking the Netwrix database.

In any case, this is a week or 2 away so I’ll hold off for now so I can get the other things on my plate, OFF!!.

Thanks again,

Mike
