Upgrade MongoDB 4.0 to 8.0 for Privilege Secure for Discovery
Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery (NPS-D) 26.09.0 is the bridge release for moving existing deployments from MongoDB 4.0 to MongoDB 8.0. MongoDB 8.0 is now the standard database for new NPS-D installations.
Action required: If your deployment still uses MongoDB 4.0, upgrade to NPS-D 26.09.0 and complete the migration to MongoDB 8.0 before upgrading to any future NPS-D release that requires MongoDB 8.0.

What this means
- New NPS-D 26.09.0 installations use MongoDB 8.0 by default.

Important: This migration is mandatory for every deployment that still uses MongoDB 4.0 before it upgrades to a future NPS-D release that requires MongoDB 8.0. Complete and validate the migration on NPS-D 26.09.0 first.
Deployments that remain on MongoDB 4.0 will not meet the requirements for releases that require MongoDB 8.0. Completing the migration is necessary to continue upgrading on the active NPS-D release line and benefit from the new capabilities, bug fixes, security updates, library and dependency updates, and platform improvements delivered in later releases.
